Big Kitchen wants you to think the dry beans and the cat food should be in different containers, but Space Maximizing Toddler knows that’s just an archaic and silly idea.

@cassey Gotta hand it to Kiddo. It's a nice design.
@StaceyCornelius unless you’re hungry for beans!
@cassey At which time it becomes a physics experiment
"Okay, kid, let's see if gravity still works."
@StaceyCornelius oh, she’s been checking regularly!!
@cassey Your household sounds like a place that's filled with curiosity and joy.
@cassey @StaceyCornelius "You could have just said you don't like chickpeas, but I suppose that would not have had the same impact.”
@fivetonsflax @StaceyCornelius totally, we’d have ignored that entirely since she declares “I don’t like that” every night, before even finding out what we’re having for dinner
@fivetonsflax @cassey Remind me to tell you about the time I couldn't resist trying the very delicious-looking cupcake I got from the dog bakery (sketchy kibble connection but stay with me).
I'd be on board with the kiddo's performance art/bean judgement. Having young taste buds can be no fun at all. Looks good but WHAT IN THE NAME OF SANITY IS THIS TEXTURE.
I like hummus, black bean soup, and I have an utterly divine recipe for lima beans, garlic, herbs, and olives. If you cook them a certain way, beans have a luxurious mouth feel.
If not, yeah, I'd totally throw in the kibble.
