Remember: TX has internal energy problems. Big recent blackouts, no connection to adj states. Renewable growth is response to that.
Makes clean energy bipartisan.
TX is one of the biggest, wealthiest red states.

@odaraia making the whole state a Colossal wind/solar microgrid would in fact allow TX to both remain disconnected to other states and keep the lights on
The economics and geography of clean energy is so much more complicated than people assume. Several red states are wind and solar leaders - lots of rural land, v few limits on what can be done with it. Plus the largest cities in red states are often far more blue.
