Would be neat if I didn't have to use the bird thing to get angry at our elected officials and their #climateInaction

@enobacon I think the defining feature of our political era will be our inability to reject fascists
@pleaseclap sounds like there's a flawed voting method behind that. That's how Rubio got elected.
@enobacon I think that contributes, yeah
Other contributions:
- The liberal party shares a lot of common goals with the authoritarian party
- In finance, tech, leadership, etc, many of your colleagues are fascists and you can't reject them without rejecting your career
- Similar social pressures:
"using twitter doesn't make me a fascist"
"That's right it makes you a fascist sympathizer and enabler"
"But I don't agree with fascism"
"Exactly: if you agreed with fascism you'd just be a fascist"
@enobacon In the context of elected representatives using twitter,
Similar thing: they don't want to alienate potential voters, they do want to preserve their social and professional network (and it doesn't matter that it's inundated with and compromised by fascism, what matters is winning)
