I need some kinda scabbard and clip thing for this pruning stick

Tube is 22mm ~7/8in, how to get some snug clip for that on the outside of the rack 🤔

Prototype zero, makita 10.8 holster with some cardboard inside, flashlight mount and bungee

Result: mostly successful. The holster was a bodge, needs to be slick and hard inside. The flashlight holder came loose on the bike side as one rubber shim fell out, needs a better clamping on that side but I'm pleased with the grip-stick + bungee bit.

Definitely recommend the cut-and-hold pruner for handling thorny vegetation without poking yourself, if I hadn't already had one of these for the hedges I would be waxing ecstatic about how awesome this thing is.

@enobacon Can you zip-tie a section of tube/pipe or the like?

@EricBono the cutter head is a little bulky with the spring clip jaw to hold what you cut, I thought maybe heat gun a cut-off shampoo bottle or tape together some cardboard, just need to keep it from bouncing around or going out the side hole, and funnel it into place

@enobacon Gotcha, needs more complex shape.

@enobacon
I would modify an extra long oil funnel like I have for my truck

@Wendelin I've actually got a tip I cut off one that might make a clip for the pole, but what do you mean about the head?

@enobacon
You want the handle in that position or more out of the way?

@Wendelin I still need to test ride, might be able to tolerate it in that spot, but it would draw quicker out the side, might be able to clip without stopping in some cases (left-handed front-brake skills permitting)

@enobacon l was thinking of attaching the wide part of a long funnel partially under the seat so you could throw any sort of long sharp tool in there to secure it? Would need clips to the seat pole top and bottom

@Wendelin I probably want the top opening lower than the top of the rack, but I can see heat-bending a funnel mouth into that area yeah. I think the clip I need is some sort of rake/broom holder that won't snag/cut me and maybe with a retainer band or just grippy rubber

@enobacon
I was going to recommend NiteIze BetterBand, however they seem to be out of manufacture.
