Took the plunge, signed up for #Costco. Will probably stick our head in our local one during the week sometime.

I remember shopping there as a kid, but the kind of shopping you gotta do as a family of 5 w/ 3 kids + dogs is just a wee bit different than what we, a family of 2 w/ just cats, need nowadays.

Still, I'm told they sell things other than pallet-sized bags of potatoes and swimming-pool-sized bottles of ketchup, so…

Hmm our 20 year old TV has a slowly failing panel (purple streaks in the top middle of the TV about 2 inches long). Might be time to get something new. This is a 27" TV. All we use it for is streaming services through a Roku box although I might replace that with a PC at some point.

We were looking at the #TVs at #Costco today and it's overwhelming trying to figure out what we might get. They don't even have a TV smaller than 55" at our local Costco 🤯

Just like Apple and Costco, Levi Strauss & Co. was targeted by conservative think tank the National Center for Public Policy Research to drop its DEI programs. And just like those other companies, Levi's said no — more than 99% of shareholders voted against the proposal, a position also taken by the company's board. Michelle Gass, president and chief executive officer of Levi’s, told WWD earlier this year: “We’ve been committed to diversity and inclusion for literally decades, and it’s the core to who we are. So our commitment remains unchanged. We will do what’s right for our people, for our business. And at the end of the day, building a diverse and inclusive workplace helps us deliver stronger results.” Here's more.

WWD · DEI Lives at Levi’s: Less than 1% of Shares Voted to Ditch Diversity ProgramsBy Evan Clark

Wow, today is a very irksome day. Just rolled into it feeling rough and grumpy. The reasons are the usual, the curse of other people. Saturday, which of course is the very worst day to do all of this. #Costco was first, rolled up to the cat litter and a fellow grabbed all the stock and rolled away. Thankfully asking for help was met by a very nice Costco employee, which helped in-irk some of my morning. But then, #CVS, the pharmacy is on lunch until 2pm, so I’ll have to roll back after #Meijer.

I found the Nurri brand protein shake at #Costco the other day and I'm excited because it ticks ALL my boxes.

* High protein
* Lactose-free
* Minimal added nutrients (calcium, phosphorous, D are my big ones)
* No stevia
➡️ RECYCLABLE CAN! ⬅️

Only downside is that it does have 3 other sweeteners (sucralose, acesulfame potassium, monk fruit extract); I'd rather they use less real sugar instead. Taste isn't bad.
