Writeup of what I know so far about what to do if you want to try to run Oblivion Remastered on an M-series Mac. So far, I haven't been able to get this to work on my M1 laptop, but I've found a small number of tutorials that owners of M3 or up machines might find beneficial.

Heads up, fellow Mac owners who are also Elder Scrolls fans: Crossover's website says Oblivion Remastered HAS been tested against the latest version of Crossover, and is reported to run well.

If you don't know what Crossover is, basically it's a commercial wrapper that sits on top of Wine--which is an emulation layer that lets Windows programs run on Unix-like systems. Which typically means Linux, but ALSO includes macOS. (Ambitious geeks can of course run Wine standalone, Crossover is basically giving it a nice UI wrapper. BUT Crossover is a major driving force of Wine existing AT ALL on the Mac, so supporting it is IMO a good idea.)

I will be confirming this, stand by for further investigation!

@jerry this is along lines of cognitive dissonance enablement to some degree - i think the lines may be a bit more blurred, that said and to use a related analogy I think ai is going to be great for infosec eventually and it already is in some cases (generally) - once it solved the protein problem i became a believer. Krebs will likely take some well deserved time off and be back in the mix at some point #crossover hits #ai vs non ai

Well I decided to try the two week free trial of CrossOver on my Mac. No installer, just drop the app in the application folder (throw back to the good old days of PowerPC Mac’s 😂). Created a bottle and installed Acid Studio 11 into it. Installer for Acid completed but the bottle install hung, waited a couple hours but no joy. Acid was there in the bottle but failed to execute with an error code 57, so no joy unfortunately. *sigh*

Call me weird but I'll only get an #EV if I can charge it as fast as I can gas up my Corsa D 1.0 3-door and pay for it in cash (or #Monero if I can get Monero for cash w/o #KYC!) and not have all the "#eCall" #tracking bs in it!
