Slightly piqued that I've only just heard about this Dean & Britta show that's happening in the North of England in August! It was announced a month ago but skipped by me!

I have now acquired tickets and booked accommodation and hope to see some of you there!

Hazel and I had intended to see the show in Hamburg and had booked our ferries and trains to get there… and then DB started sending me multiple emails saying that the trains would be disrupted, but weren’t very helpful in explaining just how disrupted and whether we would be able to make all our connections. So rather than struggle our way across to Hamburg we decided to see a show one day earlier in Groningen.

A photo dump of the wonderful Dean Wareham show at the Brudenell Social Club last night. A batch of new songs, plenty of Galaxie 500, a couple of Luna songs, and a couple off Dean's last record.

A beautifully relaxed show, a lovely crowd, a great room with excellent sound, plenty of old and new friends, made it close to perfect.

My personal high was (again) "When Will You Come Home"

Well, the email from the Royal Mail said the new @deanwareham album would be delivered between 8:50 and 14:27, it arrived at 15:59 ~ so it's only just getting it's first release day listen. It's as perfect as you would expect of course!

I'll be seeing Dean in Glasgow on Tuesday, Leeds next weekend and then Hamburg in a couple of weeks.

Dean will be “in the chat room and will add some notes about the songs and try to answer questions” - the party will be hosted on Bandcamp on Wednesday (26th March) at noon Pacific time, which is 3pm Eastern, and 7pm in the UK - if you go to the Bandcamp page it should be able to tell you the time wherever you are.
