Auto corps now have a global 25% #tariff on them now, they either pay it in metal #tariffs or on parts or bringing in whole vehicles from mexico.
they can get a ~4% rebate*

so on a $40,000 car the auto company can only import $1500 worth of parts to put on it before the rebate ends and they start paying the 25% #tariffs on auto parts
