Found a mealybug in my croton!😭

But, my current philosophy is that since these plants and the bugs who live on them are a part of this world, this is a part of the deal in keeping them. Houseplants always living in less then ideal conditions will eventually get them.

Just going to do some population control, like I've decided to do with the gnats that really thrive in our shady backyard and therefore always also end up indoors.*

*not looking for advice, I know what to do.

Nice surprise this morning. El Punko's snake plant, which is temporarily living in my part of the house, has sent up a flower spike. First time for this plant which is now about 3 years old. We searched for photos of the flower & it's going to be stunning. Don't be jealous.

I've been reading Sarah Gerrard-Jones' book 'Cacti and Succulents' ahead of her talks at #RHSMalvernSpringFestival (Review copy given. Not paid.)

It's a detailed look at these intriguing plants that have adapted to cope with some extreme climates. My review and a look ahead to the show on my blog: bit.ly/4cPScL8

Thanks to DK Living UK for the review copy.

Found some #houseplants in the trash outside today!

They seem perfectly fine, so I've decided to adopt them! 🌱💚

I think the tiny one is a Chinese Money Plant, and the rightmost one is a Snake Plant. Does someone know what the others are?

I wonder what their story is… Maybe someone moved, and couldn't take them?
