The (very old) pen ran out in a really weird way on this plot, it almost looks intentional. It wasn't, but I'm going to go with it because I think it might look interesting
(The style of the plot is based on one I saw in the Drawingbots Discord, I really liked it so I wrote some Processing code to make something inspired by it)

May '25 Print Set
It's been a month of experimenting with the pen/paint/pen pattern. With these smaller prints you have to limit yourself to a few marks, putting an emphasis on restraint and editing.

Excitement: new coreless pen lift servo arrived
So far it seems much quieter than the cheap micro servos I've been using. I was never super happy that they're basically consumables either so hopefully this is a bit more long lasting

It's a process getting to the final prints each month. Some sets are a breeze, some are a battle but it always gets there. Having had my Patreon for over 5 years this rhythm of prepping, producing, and mailing out prints has been integral to my workflow.

Packing this edition up and sending to the UK, would you buy this album if this was the cover? Really happy with how they came out, each print has some nice subtle differences. Now to pick one to keep.

Did some Monday evening plotting: very minor changes to the wave equation rendering code to experiment with a much denser set of lines than I've done before
I had hoped for a less moody in-progress photo but the spotlight I have set up is better for eyes than the camera
Just finished plotting this photo interpretation. A4 with 17 layers. A mix of ECS Drawing and Streamlines Flow Field. Black is with a ~.25mm gel pen and the colours with ~.3mm Staedtler fineliner on Bristol board.
Today's installment of "Same File, Same Pens, Same Paper, but .."
Building up these tones with 8 different pen inks means the slightest shift of .01" can impact the final result. I personally usually like how it gives each print individual qualities.
