@marcusjenkins #TomTom are just about OK here in Britain (I still use a standalone navi) but have enshittified their whole company over last few years, closing down a lot of support outlets. I can't blame them for Brexit, but that hasn't helped things one bit, their devices sometimes have flaky internal batteries and if you need repairs it now takes 2 weeks dealing with all the import/export paperwork whilst the navi goes to Romania and back...

I think it might be #tomtom. Which would make sense. Tom Tom / TeleAtlas maps have always been the shit, but less-expensive, option, compared to NAVTECH.

Driving around for a couple of weeks now I notice that the map-based speed limits (e.g. statutory speed limits in built-up areas) are shit and there's no coverage of the rural roads which is ridiculous because they're free from IGN Spain. What a crock.
