jHendrix in London

May 7, 1967 ~ England gets it's first taste of Jimi Hendrix. It's at The Saville Theatre -- The Who and The Beach Boys are there. So is John, Paul, George and Ringo. Jimi gets together with the band just before they hit the stage and tells them they're going to do "Sgt. Pepper's." Ballsy. #jimihendrix #themaster #thebeatles #savilletheatre #60smusic #music #musicsky #musiciansky #classicrock

LOVE
Forever Changes
2012 Europe Reissue

I’ve never owned a copy of this essential work of #art that didn’t have tons of surface noise, skips, or pops and clicks.

So, when I saw this reissue today in the used bin in MINT condition, I was very happy.
This sounds incredible; fully analog, with that #60s brand stereo: drums hard panned left, guitars hard right, with wonderful mastering.
Just a full, deep sounding press.

THE THIRD RAIL
Id Music
1967 U.S. pressing

One hell of an infectious #60s #psychedelic pop record, anchored by the almost annoyingly catchy “Run, Run, Run”.

Every one of these songs but one clock in at around two & a half minutes, with the longest one being 3:07. So either way, love it or hate it, it’s over before you know it.
Not much to hate here, though. Pretty fun album.
