#Canada will actually be surrounded by the #US once it makes #Greenland a territory. The things that held the US back from being more direct were world opinion and the UK. The former is now unimportant and the latter is so weak to be no deterrent.
Reminder to Canadians that even the most ‘peaceful’ annexation is pretty bloody. The one that comes most to mind is the #Anschluss and that resulted in the deaths of a million or so Austrians.
