ALL land in Windsor owned by The Ambassador Bridge Company should be expropriated by the Provincial and Federal governments of Ontario and Canada.

After the Gordie Howe bridge is open, the Ambassador Bridge should be condemned, torn down, and sold for scrap.

A modern, vibrant, affordable, walkable neighbourhood should be built where it used to stand.

So, today I almost died. Or rather, I was almost murdered.

Waiting for the light, eastbound on Wyandotte at Crawford, some absolute asshole in some POS grey SUV not just blew the red light, he was so far to the right, his side view mirror hit my shirt Ffs.

I had just been thinking...

"Windsor. The city with more ghost bikes than bike lanes"

I was damn near one of them.

You think I'm too angry? You think I swear too much?

Windsor Mayor says people in tents "choose to live in the rough".

Now sure, "sleeping rough" has been a common term for unhoused people for a long time. I can think of quite a few songs I've covered over the years that use that term in their poetry. I cannot however think of an instance where it is used to try to glorify the perils of Homelessness.

Outside of poetry, it has always demonstrated a lack of empathy, and an attempt to euphimise the very real challenges that the unhoused face. (Remember folks... Poverty is Policy. )

It is no surprise to me that this tone-deaf goon not just chooses to use it but that he gets the phrase wrong to boot.

I'll wager he says "irregardless", "chomping at the bit" and "mute point" too. A mayor should be possessed of basic literacy.

And, you know, a shred of human decency.

Most of you scumbags elected him... Either directly or indirectly through inaction. What does that says about you?
