Lashunta Inspirational Pic of the Week

This pic's selection began as a trial to find an representative pic for a Korasha. It sorta succeeded. It became an exercise reflecting on the many stereotypes in Sword & Sorcery fantasy art in how females are portrayed.

Since the Lashunta are ruled by a Damaya Matriarchy, I've set myself a goal to avoid depictions of submissive females. The Evil Sorceress (exemplified here) is one of the few tropes where the female is not submissive.

To interpret in a Lashunta context, this would likely be a scene in which contemporary artists show a tale from the Age of the Thief-Queen, who were infamous as skull-collectors. She has summoned something (her Korasha warrior-harem? something more eldritch?) to deal with the hero. Interestingly, Korasha heroes resisting the Thief-Queens' oppression is a common theme in Lashunta historical fiction.

Top down illustration of a battlemap with a grid. This is a foresty area with a hole in the middle, big enouth to hide goods and people if need be. It has trees and bushes all around it and a river that falls cascading into the bottom of this hole, making a pool of water. The hole is accessible through a slope and it has two levels: one small side on the north side and then the slope continues to the bottom. The surface is all green with grass and some white flowers, some big stones too. The hole is all dirt and rocks. My logo of BLUEBERRYMAPS with a stylized astrolabe, in white.

Os recuerdo por aquí que hace poco saqué mapa nuevo para las partidicas de rol. Es un barranco con diferentes variantes (25!) entre las que se encuentran colorinchis en el feywild, escondite de contrabandistas con mercancía de dudosa procedencia y entrada a una mina abandonada.
Además, esas 25 variantes tienen su versión sin cuadrícula.

Ilustración en vista cenital de un mapa para juegos de rol. Es un trozo de bosque donde se ve, en el centro, un barranco en el que desemboca un riachuelo y se forma un estanque. Que a dónde va el agua? Pues eso a discreción de le directore del juego. El barranco está rodeado de hierba verde, arbustos, árboles y algunas rocas. Se entra por una pendiente en la parte superior del mapa, bien escondida, y tiene dos desniveles, uno es a penas un pasillo y el otro es básicamente la "playa" del estanque y bastante más amplio, con tierra marrón y más rocas. En la parte inferior derecha se puede ver mi logo en chiquitito.
