Me acabo de enterar en plena migración a compose de mi app de rutas, que osmdroid ha sido descontinuado.
Es una pena porque era una libreria maravillosa para quitar a Google de en medio.
Conocéis alguna alternativa que tome el testigo?

bin weiter am Basteln, der Menübutton kann jetzt ein Menü einblenden, dort sollen dann die Einstellungen möglich sein. Ein wichtiges Feature wird es sein, eine Aufgabenliste zu erzeugen, die dann ausgedruckt werden kann.

Mach jetzt doch an der App weiter. Für die Bestenliste müssen die Highscores an den Server gesendet werden. Damit von den potentiell vielen Millionen Nutzern keiner schummelt und einfach selber was hochlädt wird ein Hashcode des Spielstands mit übertragen. Dafür hab ich mir was ganz besonderes ausgedacht und in der App mit Kotlin programmiert. Jetzt muss der Server mit PHP nachrechnen aber leider stimmt das Ergebnis noch nicht überein.

Capy Reader v2025.03.1112-dev introduces better parsing for YouTube for local accounts. This utilizes the presence of the "yt:videoId" and "media:description" Atom tags in YouTube feeds.

I don't plan on extending YouTube parsing too much further, so if you're looking for a fully-fledged video player, I'd still recommend NewPipe.

@raccoonforfriendicaapp version 0.4.1 has been finally released! I was waiting to fix a couple of old issues but I realized I was keeping people waiting too much since almost 2 months had passed since the previous stable version.

If you were on the latest beta, the only new feature is the possibility to see in every timeline the "source platform" each post is coming from (Friendica, Mastodon, Lemmy, Misskey/Sharkey, Pleroma/Akkoma, Kbin/Mbin, WordPress, GNU Social, Pixelfed, Peertube, GoToSocial, Diaspora, generic ActivityPub and more are coming).

If you were using 0.4.0 there are a ton of improvements, the most important of which are:

• feat: add per-user rate limits;
• feat: suggest hashtags while typing;
• feat: swipe navigation between posts;
• feat: exclude stop words from timelines;
• feat: add shortcuts to other instances ("guest mode");
• feat: open post detail as thread;
• feat: post translation;
• feat: followed hashtag indication;

Just like notification filters you can control what happens when accounts start a conversation with you.

No longer want to see DMs from accounts you don't follow? You can hide them, or put them behind a warning. Ditto for new accounts that might only have been created to harass you.
