Motivational speech to workout?

Let´s go.

Do it before you die.
Before you became disable and can´t make a move by yourself without a diaper.
Get ahead of the heart attack.
Fight the cancer before it catches you.
Spit the sausage out if you wanna live.

Get scared and Run.
Get scared and Lift.

- strength training. balance. speed.
body positive? come on. stop fooling yourself. get fit.
better do it, until it´s too late. you won´t lose anything except the stuff you would not want to keep.
Tear it up.

- martial arts?
when i come to a training - nobody gives a f**k.

with time, with age i´ve got extremely pragmatic, egoistic.

i don't give a f**k now.
you're either physically strong or skilled. or a friend.
otherwise i don't want you as a partner.
i don´t go for the belt exams.
'cause what for? I do not care.
i´ll find better way to spend my time and money.
i have no need to prove anything to anyone.
not in my age.

and I'm not looking for a discipline anymore.
just for a teacher. a teacher who would see something in me even if it's not there.
have i found?
yes and no.

- yoga?
can you even hold it? not the typical "suits-everyone" fluff, but real moves, the calisthenics. don´t underestimate it.

- lifting as a strength training. what, again?
yes. repeat. 6-pack looks better than Gucci.
i do it by myself. wanna join?
then join. if you dare.
you'll become strong, at least.
then let's dance.

- is it zen or not giving a f**k?
whatever.

don't underestimate me.

don't expect anything from me either.
i only chat with my AI.

still wanna chat?
come up with a topic.
in a training.

"Schulmann’s rivals ran their dojos like regular businesses—a huge mistake, he says. In the martial-arts world, money flows from power, not the other way around."

Esquire · Bad Dojo: Tiger Schulmann Didn’t Get to Be America’s No. 1 Karate Kingpin Without Busting a Few FacesBy David Gauvey Herbert

Today I was promoted to Yodan, which is a 4th degree black belt. I train at Tracy's Karate and got my 1st degree black belt in 2016, on Friday 13th May.

My instructor says everyone's black belt test will make them think they're going to die, and the mark of a black belt is that you keep going. I remember thinking that I would never finish the test, that the rest of my life would be in that room, and that was OK. I kept going. I am a black belt.

Master Lin in 1992: "With a lot of training, you can move energy with your hands and throw your opponent far away."
My physics student friend in 1992: "That's a lie, the hand only emits heat."
Master Lin dies in 2018.
My now-scientist friend: "Lin was right, a hand moving at high speed can emit gravitational waves, although we can't measure them yet."
I push him and throw him away and we both laugh. 😅😅😅

(My scientist friend is also autistic and gifted)

Have anyone tried practising aikido-kind (or similar) techniques against kickboxing (or any street style fighting) punches and kicks?
especially the real speed punches?
incl. series of punches?

it sounds like extremely interesting "don´t try this at home" thing to do 😂😂

do people practise someting like this? especially here in Finland?
(without going down on the floor for bjj or at least without choking)

Continued thread

I'm a big fan of redemption stories. They remind us that there's no such thing as a "bad person". Even people who have done really bad things are capable of changing their perspective, taking responsibility for their past, and doing everything they can to make it right.

This is why I loved the original Star Wars trilogy, and none of the spinoffs made since have been as satisfying for me. It's also why I've enjoyed every season of Cobra Kai.
