One UI 7 Beta 2 is out for Galaxy A55 5G!

After much anticipation, One UI 7 Beta 2 (with build ZYD3) has been released today for South Korea and for India that were eligible for this beta test. This means that everyone living in these countries can now try out the newer version of One UI 7 in its beta form!

Here are the official changelogs for this beta version of One UI 7 for the Galaxy A55:

  • Bugs that have been fixed
    • Fix poor visibility issue when checking Now bar Google sports
    • Fix an issue that cannot be attached to MMS emoticon on a particular route
    • Fix top notification icon to SIM shape when eSIM Push notification is received
  • Many other improvements

One UI 7 rollout will restart today!

After Samsung paused the rollout of the One UI 7 update due to a bug in which users are unable to unlock their phones after reboot, we had seen something that may have led us to something big.

Starting from April 15th, which is today, One UI 7 will be rolled out to the Galaxy S24 phones again, starting from Korea and all affected countries to the global release that was supposed to happen on the 14th. Here’s what the post said:

The timelines will be updated to align with this rollout and to let the users know when their device will be updated to One UI 7. The long wait for One UI 7 had frustrated users due to lack of official communication at the time, and the rollout pause further exacerbated the problem, which was the climax of the story. Now, we’ve come to the resolution and we should be seeing users get the One UI 7 update soon.

Exclusive: Telus claims that Galaxy S23 will get One UI 7 on April 22nd!

Telus has just updated their software update schedule for their users in Canada. We are surprised to learn that the Galaxy S24 and the Z Fold/Flip 6 listings have not been taken down. Instead, we saw three new entries that claimed that the following devices would be getting the One UI 7 update in Canada:

  • Galaxy S23: April 22nd
  • Galaxy S23+: April 22nd
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra: April 22nd

If there are no further delays to the One UI 7 release schedule, we could see the Canadian users getting the One UI 7 update in the abovementioned date. Telus, again, warns that the dates are approximate and may change.

So, with Samsung halting the One UI 7 rollout for the 2024 flagships, will the release-critical issues be fixed before April 22nd?
