Frosty

This image was captured right after a decent snow storm came through Yosemite Valley.
This beautiful snow covered tree stood out against the muted evergreens behind them.
The snow was unbroken and presents a beautiful white carpet leading back to the tree.
The oak, with it's broad branches seemed to have captured more snow than those around it.

If someone bought a Wendy's Frosty when it's already -2° an hour before sunset and falling rapidly, that's technically a warm-up beverage / treat, right? Asking for a, uh, FRIEND... yeah...

I sent this photo to a whatsapp group just because it was a glorious morning and everything looked magical. Someone in the group answered with "Oh is that flooding? Feels like bad things are constantly happening!" How easily people get sucked in the endless scroll of doom and catastrophising is their default. Glad I came to #mastodon.
