GORGEOUS MONSTERS
Welcome to my new interview series. I am the official human spokesperson for the Guardian Monster Guild, editor of the Monster Times & Review and author of the glamorous tell-all book, What Monsters Want. These are hard-won credentials that I have worked tirelessly to obtain. As an ordinary human being, entering the realm of Monsterdom requires a rigorous determination, and an ego that can survive all manner of taunts, threats and indignation. I have endured countless nips, pokes and licks from numerous monsters whose intent, it seems, was to provoke me into giving up. I have proved them wrong! NOTE: This latest set of interviews on monster pets is for human eyes only and includes interviews with a select group from the Gorgeous Monsters Society. (This is the name they give themselves.) Here we discuss their feelings of unabashed adoration for their beloved pets as well as their care and feeding.

I was asked to do a cover for the trade paperback edition of THE GUNSLINGER by Stephen King. I'd done the dust jacket and all the interior illustrations for the limited edition, but this was the first mass market edition. 1/4

Roland, the last Gunslinger, stands with one hand in the pocket of his leather duster and the other gripping the gun belt crossed at his waist. He wears a red silky kerchief around his neck. His dark hair is blown and his skin tanned from his trek through the desert, but his posture is stoic and his gaze determined as he peers off frame left. A raven, facing the opposite direction, spreads its wings as it perches on his shoulder. The silhouette of the Tower looms tall behind him set against a mustard sky. The sun blazes low in the sky as seen through an opening at the base of the Tower.

The Voyager's Workshop

The pencil on paper illustration for the cover of the Guildenhof Town Guide is done. I will be scanning it and then do the colouring digitally. This side quest project is having me write, illustrate, design, lay out and create maps for the entire booklet and I want to thank all of my Patreon supporters for making this possible!

Crammed into a doorway, between the night landscape outside and brightness within, an anxious assortment of strange beasties are wedged together. Some appear puzzled, others gleeful, most are simply curious. One bold orange creature leaps with abandon into the glowing space, joining several floating/flying books and strangely shaped objects. Their mysterious adventure continues...
